Great online resource for Pi Day

16 Mar

It was Pi Day two days ago.  I was able to find some very interesting websites that are math related.

First, is this great infographic http://ow.ly/j3yWb It is very big, probably not reasonable to print out at home.  But I was able to print just part of it for my son.

Next, I found this article with 22 free websites for Math teachers, all are Pi day related, such as Pi day activities, challenges, fun facts.  While it is for math teachers, parents can also find it very helpful.  http://ow.ly/j3zt6.

Lastly, here is a picture for everyone.  I did not create it.  I found it http://ow.ly/j3zIt.  Have fun with math!

I am embarrassed to admit it took me twice to understand that cartoon and then I just laughed and laughed. Thanks, I needed that! Best ~ HuntMode

Hi.Wanted to thank you for stopping by! Love the Wife of PI. Speaking of Pi…I needed to come up with a WP name that I could easily remember (my name was taken, of course, and I would have to add too many numbers) so…I came up with a play on a word, and on a specific set of numbers — moore314 — get it? 🙂

Thank you for following euzicasa. What a cool post. I liked the cartoon! (very entertaining) On Pi Day, some good ideas would be to eat pie, wear Pi pins, and read Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi, a favorite! Some ideas that I celebrated on March 14!

I could have used more innovation when learning math as a child. Going to school for an English degree, but had to take a total of five math classes. Three developmental, and the two counted toward degree. I’m on my last one. I meet so many kids saying they couldn’t go to university because of the math, but I am a living testimony, that if I did it, so can they. Math made me cry in grade school, and it never got much better after.
